Adam Greenberg Released By Orioles

Topps issued a card of Greenberg in their 2013 set.
On Friday, the Baltimore Orioles released Adam Greenberg. Many of you may remember Greenberg for being hit by a pitch in his first at-bat in the major leagues in 2005. He was not credited with an at-bat. Greenberg had medical issues over the next few years and bounced around the independant league circuit.

Last season, after a petition to get him "One-At-Bat," he was given a second chance by the Florida Marlins, which gained national attention. On October 2, 2012 he faced R.A. Dickey in a major league game and struck out on three pitches.

In December, the Orioles signed him to a minor league contract, but was released on Friday.
