Lansford And Niesen Return To Flock

Pitchers Jared Lansford and Eric Niesen have signed with the Long Island Ducks for the 2013 season. Both were instrumental in the Ducks 2012 Atlantic League Championship. 

Jared Lansford was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 2nd round (69th overall) of the 2005 Major League Draft. He played seven seasons in the A's organization before joining the Ducks in 2012.  Last season he posted a 2.98 ERA in 54.1 innings for the Ducks. 

Eric Niesen played five seasons in the New York Mets organization after being drafted by them in the 3rd round (99th overall) of the 2007 Major League Draft. He posted a 20-40 record with a 4.54 ERA in 430 innings pitched during his time in the Mets organization. He joined the Ducks in 2012, and posted a 3-2 record with a 4.05 ERA.
