Broussard was hitting .302 with eight home runs and 20 RBI in 44 games for the Ducks this season.

What makes this story even more remarkable is that Broussard was out of baseball since 2009 while he concentrated on his music career.   So for him to return four years later and play at the level he's played at, is pretty awesome!

Prior to playing for the Ducks, Broussard played in 705 major league games with the Cleveland Indians, Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers. He has a career .263 batting average with 87 home runs and 314 RBI in the big leagues. He was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2nd round (65th overall) of the 1999 Major League Baseball Draft.

Best of luck to Ben!
