A sophomore at the University of Richmond, Dacey led the Atlantic 10 with 12 home runs, and ranked third in the conference with 47 RBI.

Dacey is currently playing summer ball with the Battle Creek Bombers of the Northwoods League where he is hitting .279 with four home runs and 15 RBI in 32 games.

In 2013, Dacey won the PGCBL (Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League) Home Run Derby.

Matt is a solid player and great person. I'm glad to see him having so much success and hope he has a good showing at the college home run derby. While only sophomore, it's safe to say that Dacey will probably get drafted in 2015 or 2016 when he's eligible. He has a very smooth, violent swing through the strike zone with generates a lot of power. Scouts should keep on eye on him as his stock rising.
