30 Second College Hockey Preview: Union College @ Northeastern University, 10/2018 - 10/21/18

The #20 Union College Dutchmen (2-0-1) head to Boston, MA this weekend to two games with #12 ranked Northeastern (2-0-0).

Union cracked the USCHO.com Top 20 after a tying Omaha 3-3 on Friday and then defeating them 5-4 on Saturday night.

Senior Cole Maier leads the team with 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists) while sophomore Liam Morgan has scored three goals in the first two games of the season.

Jake Kupsky has played every minute in goal for the Dutchmen so far this season, posting a 2-0-1 record with a 2.60 GAA and .902 save percentage.

Northeastern dismantled Sacred Heart in the first weekend of the season 10-2 total in the two games. Nine different Huskies have scored a goal this season with only Tyler Madden being the only player to net two.

Sophomore goalie Cayden Primeau has been a brick wall in net for the Huskies playing every minute and posting a 1.00 GAA with a .961 save percentage.

Keys to the game:
Union needs to put pressure on Northeastern's Primeau early and often to rattle his confidence. If they allow him to gain confidence in net at home, then it could be a long weekend for the Dutchmen.

The Dutchmen have been very aggressive early on this season, drawing 16 penalties. Their power play kill unit has allowed opponents to convert 40% of their power play chances. Union needs to stay out of the box against a very well balance offensive team in Northeastern.
